Former Geordie shore star Vicky Pattison has roped in her celebrity besties to model clothes ‘perfect for the beer garden’ or a big night out. It’s been a busy week for the Wallsend-born Judge Geordie fashionista, who not content with releasing a book also launched her own fashion range for online retailer Honeyz. Speaking to the Sunday Sun at the launch in Newcastle of her chick-lit first novel ‘All That Glitters’, the 27-year-old said she was brimming with excitement for her foray into the fashion world. And she shot down rumours of rivalries between herself and other famous faces - saying the reason she’d enrolled TOWIE and reality TV stars as models was to show a little solidarity her fellow female celebs. Her Vicky’s VIP Collection, designed to suit women from sizes 6 -16, is modelled by TOWIE’s Danielle Armstrong, Talitha Minnis, with whom Vicky appeared in the first series of Ex on the Beach and tattoo superstar Jem Lucy, who is set to star in the show’s third series.
“I’ve read the stories myself about me and the other Geordie Shore girls apparently having rivalry with each other and girls from other shows,” she said.
“But the fact of the matter is I never compare myself to anyone else or compete with another girl.
“I compete with myself yesterday. I strive to be the best I can be and hopefully empower other women.
“It’s great to have Danielle, Talitha and Jem involved as we’re all different shapes and have our own personalities and sense of style.”
And Vicky’s excitement at having the glamorous trio on board has been reciprocated in a series of posts on social media.
On Thursday Danielle posted a photo of herself and Vicky on twitter with the caption “Loved shooting with this Beaut @VickyGShore for her #VIPCollection @HoneyzUK #WhenNorthMeetsSouth”, while Jem simply told her followers “This is the best!”
And the lady herself couldn’t be happier with how her ideas have come to life.
“The biggest thing for me when coming up with the collection was to have stuff I liked,” she said.
“I wouldn’t want to put my name to anything that I wouldn’t wear myself.
“I also wanted the range to be fashionable but affordable and suit any age or shape.”
“There’s maxi dresses for afternoons in a beer garden with mates, cute tea dresses for meals out and classy co-ords for nights out,” Vicky, who dropped an impressive five dress sizes last year, said.
“I wanted to create a range that would suit all shapes and sizes, which is why I picked my gorgeous celebrity models to help show off the collection.
“Whether you’re blonde, brunette, curvy or slim, there’s something to make every girl feel amazing. I’m so inspired by these ladies and they all have their own unique look. They truly do the clothes justice.”
Vicky’s VIP Collection consists of eye catching day to evening wear from vibrant colour-block dresses and jumpsuits, to catwalk-inspired crisp minimal whites to summery feminine florals.
She will be taking her online collection around the country with a series of pop up shops, the first of which will be in Newcastle’s Eldon Garden on Saturday, July 25.
